Thanks for checking out my blog! Since you’re here, I might as well tell you a bit about me! I’m a thirty-something mum of one. Trying to navigate parenthood and juggle modern day, ordinary life. I like to write and share what’s going on in my life in the hope that other women can relate. I’m inspired by the strength of women and I write for women – Well, we’re all in it together aren’t we?
I started writing this blog in January 2016, after Ordinary Lad gave me a five year journal to jot down my goals. I didn’t get very far with filling it in… But – it did help me realise I had done absolutely nothing towards my dream of writing for a living, so I decided to give it a go. What did I have to lose? Not a whizz with computers, I taught myself how to create a blog page and simply started writing. I suppose you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Blog began pre-baby and I wrote posts about our relationship (See ‘Moan about Mobile Phones’ and ‘Couples Spa Day’) and my most emotional post was about women putting on a ‘Brave Face’ when times are tough.
Since the birth of my daughter in February 2017, my blog has morphed into musings about pregnancy and motherhood; as you know, there’s plenty to say when you become a mum! Whether or not you’re a mother, I think it’s important to remember that you are still you. It’s early days for me and I’m still learning to try and balance the different aspects of my life: Mummy. Girlfriend. Yo Yo Dieter. Teacher. Writer. Realist. Mostly I’m a supporter of women – who juggle it all. I’m inspired by women and write for women.
What’s it like to be a mum in 2017? What is it like to be a woman juggling it all? Well, WE are ordinary women. Let’s have the conversations!
Have a read of my recent posts…I hope that you find something you can relate to. For more Ordinary Lass, follow me on Facebook or receive updates via email!
I look forward to hearing from you.

-WRITING VENTURES –
As well as my blog, I’m excited to have recently written a number of articles for ‘MummyPages‘, a website which covers all things pregnancy, mummy and family related. I’m also delighted that ‘Sing-a-long Dirty Dancing’ are using my review to promote their show in theatres around the country.
