Thanks for checking out my blog! If you’re interested in mindset, motivation and mum life then you’re in the right place! I turned 40 this year and this milestone drives my love of stories and connecting with others. I share snippets of my journey as a secondary school leader, mentor/coach and life as a single mum to Little Lass, living in Yorkshire, UK. I share ideas about navigating parenthood and juggling modern, ordinary life as a working mother. I continue to write and share what’s going on in my life in the hope that other women can relate. I’m inspired by the strength of women and I write content for women – after all, we’re all in it together aren’t we?
Believe it or not, I actually started writing this blog in January 2016, after I was given a five-year journal to jot down my goals. I didn’t get very far with filling it in… But – it did help me realise I had done absolutely nothing towards my dream of writing for a living, so I decided to give it a go. What did I have to lose? Not a natural with technology, I figured out how to create a blog page and simply started writing. I suppose you can do anything if you put your mind to it, eh?
Today, as I write in 2025, I’m still learning to balance the different aspects of my life: Mummy. Teacher. Writer. Realist. Mostly I’m a supporter of women who juggle it all.
